Learning about the resurrection on palm sunday?!?!

THE RESURRECTION ON PALM SUNDAY:  You may be wondering why cover the resurrection on Palm Sunday.  Here are two reasons:
  1. In preparing families to disciple their children, we already covered the triumphal entry.  Coming into this Sunday, the children already know what Palm Sunday is about and families have talked about it before Sunday's service.
  2. From a teaching perspective, those people in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday were cheering and laying down their cloaks and palm branches because they thought Jesus was going to overthrow the Romans.  We know that Jesus did so much more than this.  HE DEFEATED DEATH AND SIN.  How much more should our celebration be knowing that the grave is empty.  This is what I am going to be preaching about at Bay Life Baptist Church in Jamaica.  Matthew 21 and 1st Timothy 6:11-16.

The Battle is the LORD and The Bible is about the LORD

This seven minute video from Children Desiring God explain what we want to be teaching and preaching to adults and children @ Emmanuel Baptist Church.

The story of David and Goliath is not the story of David and Goliath.
The story is NOT about David's sling shot skill or great courage.
The story is NOT about Saul's cowardice.
THE STORY IS ABOUT GOD'S GLORY.
