THE RESURRECTION ON PALM SUNDAY: You may be wondering why cover the resurrection on Palm Sunday. Here are two reasons:
- In preparing families to disciple their children, we already covered the triumphal entry. Coming into this Sunday, the children already know what Palm Sunday is about and families have talked about it before Sunday's service.
- From a teaching perspective, those people in Jerusalem on Palm Sunday were cheering and laying down their cloaks and palm branches because they thought Jesus was going to overthrow the Romans. We know that Jesus did so much more than this. HE DEFEATED DEATH AND SIN. How much more should our celebration be knowing that the grave is empty.
