This quote is at the heart of todays EKIDZ lesson in 1 Kings 11 is entitled "God Punishes Solomon."
The application points for 03.30's lesson's are "Love the Lord with all your heart. Obey God in all things. Look for idols in your heart."
In the chapter and throughout the lesson the children learn that God punished Solomon because Solomon treasured something other than God in his heart.
Solomon's many wives divided his heart and then turned his heart from God.
